NOW

Anxiety and stress often stem from things we cannot control, i.e., things that have happened and things that have yet to happen. The great thing about things that have already happened is that you cannot change the actual event, but you can change where you go from that event and how you interpret it. Most importantly you can learn from things that have happened. Life is a continual growing process marked by constant learning and personal growth. To learn nothing from where we have been would make where we are going mindless wandering. Conversely, stress and anxiety that stems from things yet to happen are easily relieved when a person considers that these things have not happened yet. In other words, the event or stressor has not occurred and may, or may not happen the way you are thinking about it, so why be anxious about something that hasn’t happened yet? To that end I argue that keeping a present state of mind helps to relieve much of the tension we experience in our daily lives. Keeping our mind in the NOW, we are able to focus on the things that are happening the moment they happen.

... and then I said

Well take ye a look at this. I dun found my password and login stuff so I can write in this here thingy. So I figured I'd start cranking out some stuff fer yuns to read, if'n you ont too that is.

I got me some good learning about stuff in the past few years, so I thought I'd share some of it. Not all cause I don't want to give any of this cow... or is it the milk, away for free when you can eat cheese....

What I was trying to say is that I thought I would post some junk from what I have been studying in grad school up here so you can read it, I can't give away all the secrets because in an ideal world I would charge a nice fee to tell these things to people on a one-on-one basis. Since the majority of readers of this highly inactive blog are my family, I guess I can give them some free stuff. Imagine that a Burka or a Whalen accepting something for free....Just disclaimer along those lines. You get what you pay for!! So set your expectations low for this blog and you'll be amazed by the mediocrity of the posts.
